Nick Kaijaks used to tell me I should do duotones in a different way, possibly he meant what you mean (perhaps there is a discussion in the mail list archives).
I'm a bit confused because I assume that if you duotone an image in OP, you end up with a PostScript file which looks correct, i.e. the same as it does on screen. However the PostScript does not explicitly say "duotone this image".
