[softwarelist] Print to A1 PDF

Am I missing something, or is there a problem? Can anyone help, please?
Trying to print an A1 poster to PDF or PS using PDF3. The master frame is
800 x 550 so there should be plenty of margin round an A1 and the paper
size is set in the PS3 driver to generic A1, 840 x 594.
Every time, I am getting the message "image is larger than the paper size
and will be cropped".
