In message <dc5632fc50.jim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, Jim Nagel <opro@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> writes

i want to go quickly to the top or bottom of the story that contains
the caret. Ctrl-Cursorup or Ctrl-Cursordown produce an error:

"Unknown identifier EndNote_c_CDown at line 1 in macro"

what does this mean and what can i do about it?

Thing is an applet can define macros (for example for ctrl cursor up), which execute a function provided by the applet. At some point you (a) save macros and (b) turn off the applet.

Now what happens when you press ctrl + cursor up?

A function which is not defined is executed.

The solution is to look at the macros window and delete the macros which were defined by End Note.

I fixed this snag (probably on Windows only) so that if an applet is turned off, any macros it defined get removed.
