The problem with XP and Vista is finding 64 bit drivers whereas Windows 7
is pretty complete from that point of view. If you run the compatibility
assistant beforehand it will tell you where potential problems lie
regarding drivers and software and you can source the ones W7 doesn't have
from the OEM.
As for why anyone would choose to run Vista, either 32 or 64 bit... ;-)
