Can OPro (RISC OS and/or Windows) import pdf files ... with 'pdf' in
the meaning of 'postscript document file', that is as files printed by
Acrobat or RiScript ?
There is a PDF import filter for the Windows version of OP. It works by
using GhostScript to produce a PostScript and a bitmap version of the
PDF and then glues them together to form an EPS file which is imported.
At best this is non-ideal and (see Clive Bonsal's comments a couple of
months back) at worst it doesn't work. Like any EPS file it requires a
PostScript printer to give good results.
But on the other hand I have used this filter to good effect when
Adobe's Viewer would not print some documents.
