Hi everyone,
The Vermont State Employees Credit Union (VSECU) is hosting the Point to Point
race on Saturday, August 6th, which is just under one month away. CVARC is
looking to provide communications between each aid station and the coordinators
in Montpelier.
We are looking for 7 people total; 6 aid stations and 1 net control station.
Net control will be at the state house in Montpelier, and the aid stations will
be located throughout the 100-mile, 50-mile, and 25-mile courses.
The aid station operators will need to commit to 5 hours, and net control will
need to commit to a 7am to 5pm shift.
Ideally, we'll have more than 7 operators so those who cannot commit to the
entire event can switch out early or later.
To ensure maximum reliability during the event, we are asking aid station
operators to use 2-meter mobile radios, capable of 50 watts or more, with a
good stationary omni or directional antenna. We have limited extra equipment
that can be available if necessary.
Free food and beer will be provided to volunteers by VSECU!
