I would just like to remind you all that I donated a car load of wire and the
like to Bob Danaher in Waitsfield last fall – before we moved from Ferrisburgh
back to Central VT. I hope it has found a good home. If there is anything
left it could be distributed at Field Days.

Subject: [CVARC] Field Day and other matters
Hello everybody,
With a little exploring in my temporary storage container, I was able to find a
spool of suitable antenna wire, so the two HF antennas that I promised to bring
to field day are ready to go. If we need any additional antennas or related
equipment, please let me know because I am starting to pack stuff up. I assume
someone will bring a soldering iron and solder. If not, I can bring them.
Just let me know.
I got a call from an old friend of mine yesterday. He is a retired engineer,
and he expressed an interest in learning more about ham radio. I wonder if
someone has a spare radio (receive only at this point) that includes the HF ham
bands and the adjacent HF broadcast bands. I would like to buy or borrow
something suitable for him to begin listening with. He is getting hard of
hearing so I will provide him with some noise cancelling headphones. At the
moment, I don't have a receiver to lend him that works well enough so that he
won't become frustrated. Please call or write me if you can help us out.
