Hello to all who can help publicize Field Day by posting in your Front Porch
Forum, Facebook, or other media:Alan Z. has revised the suggested post to add
some detail and color. Feel free to use the script below, or to rework your
local announcement as you see fit.
Publicity Script:THE CENTRAL VERMONT AMATEUR RADIO CLUB will join radio
operators from all over North America by participating in the American Radio
Relay League Field Day on June 23 and June 24. The event is being held at the
Tower in Hubbard Park, Montpelier from 2 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Similar Field Days are being held nation-wide to train ourselves to communicate
when disaster renders conventional communications inoperable. It is also a
chance to see Ham radio in action.
Amateur (“ham”) radio enthusiasts, and those who are curious about ham radio,
are invited to join us as we raise antennas, set up equipment, fire up our
generators and solar panels and make radio contacts throughout the U.S. and
elsewhere. Please come pay us a visit in Hubbard Park. Follow the signs to
the Tower.

Question about signs:Do you have any political signs---the kind with the metal
frame that you can swap the sign in and out of?CVARC would like to post signs
directing people to the site, and would be delighted to have some wind and
weather-proof signs.
ShuttlePeople who would like to ride the shuttle van from the Hubbard Park
parking area up to the Tower site are invited to contact Jessica Noyes KB1NBO
at jess@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. (No vehicles are allowed in the park proper from the
parking area.) Or, when you arrive and park, call 147.56 simplex for a lift. A
designated vehicle will pick you up.
