Robert,I did an install on a 10.4 server and had no problem and clamd 0.95.1 is running. Check your logs
cat /var/log/freshclam.log or if you have installed socat use: (echo "VERSION"; sleep 1;) | /usr/local/bin/socat - /tmp/clamd 2>/dev/null If you don't see 0.95.1 Did you restart? Remember your new clam is at /usr/local/bin so to run stuff you need to /usr/local/bin/clamdscan etc. Tom At 11:16 AM -0400 5/13/09, Robert Wolff wrote:

You might wantto follow http://osx.topicdesk.com/content/view/62/62/ to upgrade to 0.95.1Before my previous post I had attempted this tutorial 3 times, each one seeded to run without a problem until the final steps.sudo /bin/launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.clamav.freshclam.plistNO ERRORsudo /bin/launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/net.clamav.freshclam.plistNO ERRORsudo /bin/launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amavis.amavisd.plist"no such process"sudo /bin/launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amavis.amavisd.plist"nothing found to load"I am not sure how to check the what version is running but CLamXav claims 0.94.2 regardless of the install or remove process.Circle The Wagons manage: //www.freelists.org/list/ctw post: mailto:ctw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx unsubscribe: mailto:ctw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subjectsubscribe search: //www.freelists.org/archives/ctw faq: //www.freelists.org/wiki/the_faq
