Garret,What we have seen is the CA does some nonstandard installing and mucks up standard perl. The only solution we have found, since we do not have CA and Chris has not documented what he did, is to do a totally clean OSX install as 10.4.11 comes with perl 5.8.6
Not tested but logic says the following might work as a temporary work around: sudo perl5.8.6 assp.pl check ls -al /usr/bin/perl and see if it is a link Tom At 10:07 AM -0400 3/20/09, Garret Cleversley wrote:
I couldn't get ASSP to install on my Eims/CA box so I setup a whole new computer with 10.4.11 and 2.5 Dev tools.Installed everything. Seemed to go perfectly this time. When I launched ASSP it says I need to upgrade Perl it's only at 5.008x. However when I do a perl-v it says I'm at 5.8.6Do I have two versions of Perl installed and ASSP is pointing to the wrong one? How would I fix this?Garret Circle The Wagons manage: //www.freelists.org/list/ctwpost: mailto:ctw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx unsubscribe: mailto:ctw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe search: //www.freelists.org/archives/ctw faq: //www.freelists.org/wiki/the_faq
