Please be advised of the following Blues Society events scheduled in the
upcoming months:
1. MONTHLY JAM - Next jam will be on March 5, at the Pine Loft (1474 Berlin
Turnpike). Hosted by the CTBS All Stars, featuring Paul Gabriel on vocals
and guitar.
Jammers are welcome. Amps and mics will be provided. Food and drinks
available from 1 to 5 PM.
2. BLUES BLIZZARD = Best Blues Dance Party in CT.
Date: March 25 (Saturday).
Location: VFW Post 9929, 83 South Street, West Hartford 06110
Admission: $10 per person.
Time: Doors open at 5 PM and the music starts at 6 PM.
Food and drinks available. No coolers.
Featuring the following bands (with a large dance floor).
THE WHISKEY REBELS
RICHIE AND THE RED HOT BLUES
THE RICH BADOWSKI BAND
THE MIKE CRANDALL BAND
VITAMIN B-3
3. CTBS BAND CHALLENGE
Register: On the CTBS web site ( ctblues.org.) And click on Society. Sign
up deadline March 26, 2017.
Location : Black Eyed Sally's, Hartford.
Dates: Apr 20, Apr 27, May 4 and May 11 (tentative).
Time: Competition starts at 8 PM. No cover charge. 25 minute sets.
Final: Preliminary winners plus wild card compete in the Final, at the
VFW, on June 17 (Sat). starting at 6 PM.
4. REQUEST OF MEMBERS AND FRIENDS
CTBS is in the process of ordering T-Shirts for 2017. We will continue to
sell our standard shirt with the design on the front (designed by Linda
Clark in the 90's), but want to have another style available.. We have sold
out the shirts with the "Out All Night" design on the back. We are
interested in someone creating a new design for the shirts (we may keep the
small CTBS logo on the upper front). Feel free to send me any ideas and
they will be considered by the Board of Directors. Send your ideas to me
