seems like a super group of capable people.

I have received 4 applications for the Board of Directors. I have attached
them to this message. We had decided that the Board would need 5 seats. I
would humbly like to throw my name in the hat as well. Please find my bio
below:

Ironically I am behind on putting this vote together. I think it is fair to
ask the teams to either approve or reject the Board applicants by Monday, May
4th. I will assume that if I don’t hear from anyone by Monday the Board is
voted in and we’ll move forward.

I am the president and owner of Splash Pool Services, Inc. I grew up swimming
in the “Horsetooth League” prior to it being organized as such, therefor my
back ground with it is extensive. Personally, I have two young children who I
hope to get involved in the league in the future. Therefore, not only do I
have a professional commitment to making sure this league grows and succeeds,
I also have a personal interest. I believe my history and connection with the
associated Boards of Directors who govern most of the pools in the league will
be a valuable asset to this Board. My dedication to the League’s organization
and communication has been proven over the last 15 years. I believe I can be
trusted to hold an objective view towards future structure and
protocol/policies in order that they affect all teams within the Horsetooth
League fairly.

Well, it seems no one from my neighborhood feels compelled to be nominated, so
here is my brief bio:

Denise Welting - Ridgewood Hills

I have 16 years competitive swimming experience, and have been coaching both
year round and summer league swimming, as well as teaching private lessons for
almost 15 years. I also played water polo for CSU for 3 years while earning my
Bachelor of Arts degree. I feel my varied aquatic background uniquely prepares
me to be a part of the Board as I have experience with swimming at many
different levels and could fairly represent all interests.



Hi Amy,

Heidi and the CAPS board at Collindale have asked me to throw my name in the
hat for a league board position. So I guess that makes me the "Collindale
applicant". :)

Here is a quick bio:

My name is Janie Wagstaff and I have 2 children that swim for Collindale each
summer. My daughter is 8 and my son is 10, so hopefully they will continue for
several years to come. They participate in multiple sports, so at this time,
they only swim in the summers. I have a strong background in the sport of
swimming. I started swimming for my summer league team in Kansas City from the
ages of 5 through 9 yrs old (some of my best swimming memories are summer
league). At 9 years old I began swimming year around on my club team, the
Kansas City Blazers. At that point, I stopped summer league and stayed
swimming with my club team all year long. I made/joined the national team at
age 14 and swam in numerous international competitions all over the world
throughout my swimming career. I reached my ultimate goal in 1992 and swam the
100 and 200 backstroke, 400 medley relay in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. I
continued swimming at the University of Florida through 1995 and then decided I
was ready to move on with my life (professional swimming wasn't a viable
option back then). I ended up in Fort Collins in 1995 and finished my
undergraduate degree at CSU before heading to vet school (also CSU). I now
practice veterinary medicine in Windsor part time and shuttle my kids (3rd and
4th grade) around to all their activities the rest of the time :-). I have
resided in Fort Collins for 20 years.

Thank you very much for your time in organizing all of this, it is very much
appreciated. After hearing the meeting last night, I can see that it is way
past due and will be beneficial as the sport grows.
