I don't really need to formulate an argument about this. I have never gotten
hype over SFV. I've never even liked MKX, but I got hype during top 8 at FR
several times. Now that I got hype is one thing. Consider that it never even
crossed my mind to watch SFV Top 8. In fact, I still haven't seen a single
match and I believe the archive is up on YouTube. I know that Xian won, but I
don't know who he beat, and I don't really care either.
Whether or not my rationale is flawed, the fact is that just going by
experience I can say that SFV does not entertain me.

There is hype stuff from time to time in most things. I'm not gonna throw 90
minutes of my life away watching a football match just to see the 5 minutes of
Westham players attacking each other. Similarly, I'm not gonna play or watch
SF5 in the hopes of seeing a random hype moment in amidst the mind numbing
boredom of the game. I do understand that other people might feel differently
though.

The SFV scenario is rubbish and should never, ever be the basis for development.
Ono said that they designed SFV so that there was no transferable skills from
previous games. As far as humanly possible. They stated flat-out that certain
things were toned down or simply just removed for the sake of casuals. And I'm
not talking about execution.
Do you really want to see a repeat of SFV with MvCi?

which means a sfv scenario in a very fast paced game.

OMG Level 3 X-Factor is so broken
OMG Sentinel with Level 3 X-Factor is so broken
OMG Wesker
etc etc ad nauseum.
