Not sure what material the consumer versions of the headsets lenses are made of
but I know what they are called
The Vive uses Fresnel lenses
The Rift users Hybrid Fresnel lenses
Afaik both are fairly "custom" so not sure how easy it would be to make or
replace... but I have no idea how this shit is made to begin with so fuck
knows :P
Not sure if info is usefull

Yeap, I checked thst already.
I have no idea why they didn't use optical resin for the headset, it would've
made mord sense.
The acrylic used is such a kak idea. It doesn't like solvents.
The other isdue is that cleaning with soapy water, while still being the best
bet, is still an issue because moisture gets stuck in the lens edges. In
normal specs, you can just dismantle the thing and re-assemble. They should
have opted for something like that.
Either way, I got a ton of quality micro-fibre cloths I can give you. I expect
the 3D printing community will be providing a serious amount of modding.
Personally, I'd like to see if the lenses will be replaceable. I'd opt for
replacing them with glass if I could.
All thus is based on really early info of the oculus that I read. I dunno what
the final specifications were tbh.

What would be the best thing to clean lenses with or best micro fibre cloth to
buy?
Got a tiny little cloth thingy with the rift but not sure about the quality or
how long it would last etc.
Apparently you arent allowed to use liquid to clean the lenses of the Rift or
camera.
