If you haven't stunned them then just do two and end in slide.  There are
lots of factors to take into account (initial distance, char width, reel
animation, screen position etc).  Boxer and Sagat and maybe Seth are the
easiest to do it on.

You shouldn't even worry about that stuff yet.  Hardest thing with Fuerte
is movement and his brand of "footsies".  Watch TKD play.  He moves around
for 30s doing seemingly random stuff but all he is doing is baiting jumps
and projectiles so that he can land a EX DP or Ultra.  If you don't react
at all, he goes ham on you.  It's a lose-lose situation unless you can
match his movement, which is extremely hard to do without making a mistake.
