Everyone is invited this Friday, November 1st, All Saints’ Day, to enjoy
the Fauré Requiem, presented free to the public at 8 PM by the combined
choirs of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and Peace Lutheran Church,
accompanied by organ and a chamber orchestra of strings and French horns.
The soprano and baritone soloists are graduate music students at the
University of Texas.
The 7 movement Fauré Requiem in D minor, Op. 48 was composed by Gabriel
Fauré between 1887 and 1890 and will be sung in Latin. Duration will be
a little over one hour.
The presentation is free and will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal
Church, located across from the overlook on US 183 about 2 miles north of
Bee Cave Road. For those using a GPS the actual address is.1500 N.

Claire and I would love to have you come. We both will be singing in the
choir ensemble.
