I looked up from the breakfast table and was "start"led to see a strikingly
beautiful, dark black reddish orange patches bird sitting on our birdbath in
the middle of the yard. My wife (Jo) was able to grab binoculars and see it
after it had flown into the Oak tree. We looked it up and found out it was a
male American Redstart. It is a Warbler migrating southward. I hadn't seen
one since about 1981 on a day that I saw 13 different warbler species.
