I saw a pair of these ducks fly in and perch in our big elm last year, but
I couldn't believe they were ducks because I didn't think ducks could gain
purchase on a tree limb. Don't they have webbed feet? Thx, Frank, for the
pic and identification. Thx, too, Doug, for the butterfly
encyclopedia!....margaret on queenswood

By coincidence, spotted a pair of black bellied whistling ducks on
Castlewood. Sorry about the quality, I only had my cell phone.

Good neighbors,
After many fits and starts the butterfly guide with 27 species can be
seen at: http://covna.org/content/butterfly/butterfly.html
I hope you enjoy it and can use it to identify some of the many
butterflies in our area.
Thanks,
Doug
