I've had no problems sweating copper pipes using a normal propane torch and
non-lead solder. Be sure that there is no water in the area to be soldered
first. Before heating them, one must coat the areas to be sweated with the
correct solder paste. Then heat the area to be soldered on the opposite side
from where you apply the solder. This will pull the solder into the joint.

I suggest you do a google search on "How to sweat copper pipes" and look at the
videos.

Subject: [covna] Copper solder and torch?
Hi neighbors,
I really hope that everyone is holding up in this unprecedented time.
We had a pipe burst and I’m looking to see if anyone has copper solder and a
torch I could use.
Please reach out to me if you need assistance/food/water.
Stay safe and warm.
Sean
