Hi everyone,
Wanted to forward on info on a new pilot program that the City Council is
trying out at our branch libraries. The City Council has a slot in the agenda
on Thursdays (Noon) where citizens can sign up to talk about anything that they
would like. There are a limited number of slots every week, so you must sign up
in advance (one week lead time), but you can now participate remotely from the
Manchaca Library. Details on how to register below for anyone that may be
interested.

The City currently has a pilot program to allow Citizen’s Communication
remotely from the Manchaca Branch Library, and we thought that utilizing this
new tool would be a great way to both bring attention to your concerns as well
as highlight the benefit of this tool to residents who live outside of the
central City, especially in South Austin.
Registering for this Citizen’s Communication must be done in advance and the
April 13 meeting deadline is Thursday April 6 at 4:30PM. Residents must sign
up with the Office of the City Clerk by phone (512-974-2210) or by email
<http://www.austintexas.gov/email/citizenscommunication>. You can view all of
the details on the City website here
<http://www.austintexas.gov/department/citizen-participation-council-meetings>.
Be sure to let them know that the speaker intends to present remotely from the
Manchaca Branch Library.
