Competition Director
The 2017-18 NCCC rulebook is now posted on the NCCC Website under the
competition button. The 2016 points standings are posted and final. Bruce
Wentzel ended in 7th place, Mary Wentzel in 3rd, and CCM 3rd. Congratulations
to Mary and Bruce.
Membership Director
As of this Gov meeting the NCCC has 17,669 members. The NCCC lost eight clubs
but gained one new club. The oldest club in the NCCC, ER-001, Corvette Club of
America, did not renew. Governors are to remind their club members that it is
important that addresses within the database are kept up to date. If a member
moves and their address is not correct, the member will not receive their
BlueBars. Because of the bulk mailing rate that the NCCC uses, the BlueBars
will not be forwarded. Instead the cover of the BlueBars will be returned to
the BlueBars Publisher and a charge of .72 cents a copy will be incurred.
Address changes can be in the form an email sent to me.
New members receive a form to fil out if they wish an NCCC license plate frame.
This item is no longer sent out in the new member packet. If the frame is
requested, then the frame is given to the RMDs for distribution to the
Governors. The VP of Membership has inherited the duties of the Distribution
Manager. The VP of Membership spent several hours a week during the renewal
period and mailed out 10,500. I have a membership by the numbers report if you
are interested.
Business Manager (Future Convention)
The Rocky Mountain Region has put in a bid to host the 2019 convention from
July 7th through the 12th,. More information will be forthcoming. Plans for
the 2018 Convention in New Orleans are coming along.
Business Manager (Insurance)
The insurance FAQ’s have been updated. You are encouraged to review those. If
there is something you do not understand, please send me an email and not to
the Business Manager. Information provided by him can be shared with all of
you if I know about it. The FAQ’s can be found under the Insurance button on
the NCCC website.
Information Technology Manager
It is important that you have a valid email address associated with your NCCC
profile. Information from the NCCC President gets sent to all primary members
using your email address. Please notify me if you a change in your address. A
plan for making NCCC ID cards via an email delivery system is in the works.
This type of program is used successfully by a lot of organizations.
Convention 2017
As of this meeting there are 540 registered. There are a lot of people that
have registered and are on a wait list for the events. Those events are being
looked at and possibly the wait list can be shortened. Those that have
registered for an event and will not be able to run will get a refund. There
are some people that have registered at the hotel but not the convention. They
are asked to register by the end of March or will be forced to give up their
rooms because there are people registered for the convention but have no room.
Those of you going on the Gibson guitar tour are recommended to bring a dust
mask. The tour will be dusty. Please monitor the convention web page for any
updates, event changes, etc.
Sponsorship Director
Michelin will not be at the convention for their tire test drive event. They
are spotlighting a new performance tire that is not available on the Corvette
yet. A Spring Mountain High Speed School bid will be opening soon. More
information to follow. I have a complete Sponsorship report is you are
interested.
Charity and Scholarship Director
$9400 has been donated to St Judes so far with the new charity program. The
Standing Rules for the Charity and Scholarship programs are being reviewed and
revised. If you have someone that might qualify for a scholarship, please
review the program under the Scholarship button on the NCCC website.
Most of the rest of the meeting was taken up by the appointment of various
committee members.
If you have any questions regarding the NCCC, please feel free to send me an
email or give me a call.
