Your desire for a peaceful resolution of the current crisis is
understandable. Good faith negotiations between parties with similar
visions enable win-win outcomes. The winning outcome for the opposition
would be the establishment of a government that would enable a system of
justice that is fairer than what is currently in place. Such a system
would promote accountability. The winning outcome for Moise would be to
keep power and his wealth. Any other outcomes would merely continue
the current state of lawlessness and ensuing poverty for Haitians.
Enabling Moise to go into exile would be proof that leaders are not
held accountable. It would also delay the reckoning the Haitian people
need to undertake to restore hope and progress.
