Hi, Russ. This is software. Sygate. I'm told it runs well upon first installation & then after a restart closes things down. The problem then is only fixed by a complete removal of Sygate. ----- Original Message ----- From: Russ Blakeman To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 7:51 PM Subject: [CTS] Re: firewall While maybe not prevalent, is this a hardware or software firewall and what brand or name? Most software firewalls have a lock down that disallows all internet activy and hardware ones do too but administration of hardware firewalls is usually harder so less chance of someone other than an admin person messing it up. -----Original Message----- From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of edwestern Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 9:18 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] firewall Any ideas why a firewall would work for a while on a ME OS & then shut the internet down the next day?
