This one is mine. I got from someone on freecycle. he assumes that it is the
drum and would rather pay for a new one. I was talking with Brother and they
said to clean it, and the drum may still be good. I have to get a toner
tomorrow (So I can return it if it is worse and not pay mroe shipping. The next
time I will check out your buddy.) to see what it prints.
The tech guy said it was 3-4 cents a page, he was not sure. Seems reasonable to
me. If so I got a good machine for FREE!!! Really he is throwing money away, I
just got a $230 machine for free the scans to pc, copies, faxes, prints....
Drum 12,000 pages website said it could reach 20,000 in right conditions $130
to 180
Toner 2,200 pages 5% coverage $30-$40
Could you please show me how to compute the cost per page?

If it's already paid for and in use then the replacement of drum and toner is
worth is as you don't need to replace the whole unit besides the consumables.
Of course I don't know the general condition of it or wht your boss's budget is
- some places will replace once they can no longer depreciate items whether
they are working or not and then either donate to a charity or set in the
dumpster.

I just got one for free. Person bought new instead of buying new drum
(White spots) for this. Is it really worth it? Do you know the costs per page.
The drum gets 12,000 pages and costs $130 on no name sites. Toner is wow $30
online up to 2,200 w 5% coverage.
