Had an old monitor that didn't work at all, so I opened it up to take a look see. Well wouldn't you know it. The cable is wired to this panel that sitting right on the end of the CRT. :-O Must have been some SMALL hands to put that where it's located. So I'm seriously thinking about snipping the cable and splicing a good one to it. I'll sleep on it. :-) On Fri, 20 Jan 2006 09:43:28 -0600, "Russ Blakeman" <rhb57@xxxxxxxxxx> took time to say the following: RB> IF you can get the part (assuming you mean the kind not detachable from the RB> outside) you need to open the case and be VERY careful of the stored RB> electricity in the tube - usually around 35,000 volts on the anode cap stuck RB> to the top - thick red wire with a big rubber cup insulator. Then it depends RB> on how it's attached inside - some are plug in some are individual snap on RB> points and many are solder downs to the main board. For what is a man, what has he got?
