DiskKeeper Lite (free and the one in the OS) and Norton SpeedDisk (Which proboably uses the one in the OS it seems to not make a difference either) Thank you, Eric Vogel ----- Original Message ----- From: edwestern To: pchelpers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2004 1:39 PM Subject: [CTS] Hard drive Optimization I run XP Home on my laptop. I would be interested in hearing how different ones have optimized their hard drive. Have you formatted to separate files for smoother or quicker operation? Adjusted the swapfile? Is that even necessary for the amount of memory in new pc's? Have you moved the OS footprint from the diskdrive to memory? Used Bootvis? Any others? Thanks
