> Reuters UK reports that Microsoft and RealNetworks plan to > "wean customers way from MP3 files".... How about "weaning" consumers away from Windows in favour of the Linux OS! Every 12-18 months we are forced to invest in more hardware to run the latest Microsoft OS or application, which inevitably turns out to be buggier, more resource hungry, and a bigger security threat than the previous release. The system requirements for XP are far beyond my Pentium 166, and rather than dump my system and buy something XP will run on, I've been thinking of dumping Windows and installing Linux instead. All I need now are the balls to actually cut the MS umbilical cord.
