LIFTING LATINO VOICES:
A COMMUNITY DIALOGUE ON IMMIGRATION POLICY
February 11, 2013
The role of Latinos in the 2012 elections has opened the door for a new
national conversation on immigration reform.  This opening could herald an
opportunity to bring about sensible, humane, and effective immigration
policies.  However, we need to make sure that the perspectives of immigrant
communities are taken into account as debate over immigration reform heats up.
It is also critically important that community leaders from around the country
are exposed to the best, most informed analysis as they formulate local
campaigns and engage at the national level.  As a step toward reaching those
goals, NALACC is organizing a forum in Washington DC where community
organizations and leaders can share ideas, strategies and analysis. NALACC
Member organizations will participate from at least the following states:
California, Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, Nevada, Nebraska, Florida, North
Carolina, Wisconsin and Texas.  We welcome the opportunity
to connect with partners and allies in DC and around the United States.
