Querido William,

Muchas gracias por tu activa diseminacion de informacion sobre la migracion 
internacional. Con respecto a este ultimo mensaje quisiera recalcar un detalle 
muy importante que permite poner las cifras mencionadas en perspectiva. El CIS 
es el think thank antiinmigrante mas activo de los EU. Steven Camarota, su 
fundador, director y mas prolifico investigador, es un brillante experto en 
medios de comunicacion y uno de los mas activos 'lobbyist' del moviento 
antiinmigrante en Washington. La encuesta en cuestion es bastante sesgada y sus 
resultados son diametralmente opuestos a los reportados por otras encuestas de 
opinion realizadas por reconocidos expertos. De hecho, el apoyo bipartidista a 
nivel nacional despues de las ultimas elecciones es lo que precisamente ha 
empujado a Obama y su partido a impulsar su campana pro reforma migratoria. 
Saben que tienen la opinion publica a su favor. Esta encuesta  busca crear la 
impresion que dicho consenso no existe. 

Fijate en la manera como se hicieron las preguntas en la encuesta del CIS. No 
solo malrepresentan la situacion (i.e., nadie ha propuesto dar ciudadania a los 
indocumentados, pero asi es como formularon la pregunta), sino que insisten 
repetitivamente en formular preguntas que empujan al encuestado en cierta 
direccionn - el sesgo de la encuesta es descaradamente obvio.

Pense que este dato era importante de aclarar.
