On behalf of the organizers of the History for Lunch lecture, we are happy
to send you the following announcement:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear colleague,

The organising committee of "History for Lunch" or "Geschiedenis rond de
Middag" warmly invites you to attend our next seminar this Wednesday 25 May
from 12.00 to 12.45 in room 1313.0316:

"Commanding Views: Monumental Landscapes and Territorial Formation in the
Pergamon Kingdom" by Christina Williamson.

How was landscape turned into territory? How was power manifested and
perceived? Looking at the ancient Greek kingdom of Pergamon (3rd to 2nd
centuries BC), Dr Christina Williamson researches the role of landscape
visibility in state formation.

You're very welcome!

Kind regards,

Laurien Hansma
Niké Wentholt
Chris Hietland
Tom Schuringa
Ruben Verwaal
