The Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area SAS=AE User's Group (CinSUG) invites = you to attend a presentation by Sandy McNeill, SAS Output Delivery and Reporti= ng Manager, entitled, "Cool Things in V9/ODS." on July 10th, 2003. This meeting is to be held at The Procter and Gamble Company Health Car= e Research Center at 8700 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, OH 45040. The Health Care Research Center is located off of I-71, just north of I= -275. One should exit onto Mason-Montgomery Road (Exit 19) and go north on Mason-Montgomery. Procter and Gamble is located roughly a mile from th= e highway, on the right hand side. All attendees should enter through the main entrance and check in with = the receptionist. Longer format names, the ability to save your ODS o= utput (and its hierarchy) and then "replay" that output to any destination, t= he ability to "reorder" that ODS output hierarchy that you saved and then = "replay" your newly reordered output (without having to rerun your procedures), = the new experimental layout capabilities with PDF, new experimental high-qualit= y graphics from statistical procedures, new Tagset templates to be able t= o customize your markup output, the ability to use multiple "threads" wit= h some BASE procedures (Tabulate, Report, Means, Summary to name a few) which = allows you to take advantage of multiple CPUs, and the list goes on. So take= a break from your SAS6.12 or SAS8.2 work and come see what awaits you in SAS9. Biography: Sandy McNeill is the manager of the Output Delivery and Reporting depar= tment at SAS. The ODR department is responsible for ODS and the BASE reporting p= rocedures -- Print, Tabulate, and Report. Sandy joined SAS in 1995 to support PR= OC REPORT, for which she is still the lead development support person. Prior to joining SAS Sandy worked at Square D where she wrote firmware = for Programmable Logic Controllers, and then was the programming lead for t= he graphical user interface used to program the PLCs. Sandy's previous experience before Square D was six years with GTE Government Systems wh= ere she worked on the firmware for a communication device used by the Army during Operation Desert Storm. Sandy graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1985= with a B.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
