An abstract for this presentation and Sandy McNeill's biography follows=
:

Abstract:
Imagine: Working with Version 8.2 and wondering why in the world you sh=
ould
ever want to upgrade to SAS9. Why? Because of all the cool, new things=
 in
SAS9, that's why! Longer format names, the ability to save your ODS o=
utput
(and its hierarchy) and then "replay" that output to any destination, t=
he
ability to "reorder" that ODS output hierarchy that you saved and then =
"replay"
your newly reordered output (without having to rerun your procedures), =
the new
experimental layout capabilities with PDF, new experimental high-qualit=
y
graphics from statistical procedures, new Tagset templates to be able t=
o
customize your markup output, the ability to use multiple "threads" wit=
h some
BASE procedures (Tabulate, Report, Means, Summary to name a few) which =
allows
you to take advantage of multiple CPUs, and the list goes on. So take=
 a break
from your SAS6.12 or SAS8.2 work and come see what awaits you in SAS9.
