Illinois Firefighter Struck, Killed by Pickup Truck

A 73-year-old volunteer firefighter from Bishop Hill, Ill., was struck and killed by a pickup truck Monday night in rural Knox County, the Illinois State Police said Tuesday.
Theodore Myhre, 73, was helping a fire truck back up when the accident occurred at 4:57 p.m., authorities said.
