Hi all
Just a simple question, how do I access the help file from within the program?
It doesn't show up when I press the help button.
Cheers
Bill

Subject: [chaoscope] Chaoscope 0.3 released

Hi all,

0.3 has just been released.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW FEATURES

- Full project load and save (including angle, colors, etc.)
- Batch rendering
- Chaotic Flow equation was added
- Polynomial Function equations were added
- Improved preview : now closer to final render
- Options interface
- Folders for each files category
- Gradient is used for Gas and Liquid rather than default black and white
- View window may be resized and scrolled
- Render and preview zoom in/out up to 16x
- Render size can be changed once the project is open
- Ctrl+R to randomize gradients, lights in Solid mode
- Secondary color for attractor in Solid mode
- Search history for the current equation
- Solid Mode transparency mask can be saved
- Attraction animation

FIXES

- The preview brightness was inconsistent between rendering mode changes
- Shadows didn't match Opacity in Solid mode
- Parameters saved with an exponent part couldn't be read
- Floating point exceptions weren't captured during Search
- Rotation is now consistent with scale
- Large preview scale was causing near-plane clipping
- Left-most and bottom-most pixel lines were missing on rendered image
- Half of Julia shadows was clipped off in Solid mode
- Artefacts could appear on shadows edges
- View centering was broken
- View updates were reset to 10 when changing active project
- View title bar wasn't updated when user changed attractor

MISCELLANEOUS

- Sliders are resized properly
- Property palettes can be hidden
- Property palettes position is saved
- More sloppy code clean-up/optimisation
- Better view update indicator in status bar
- Real time view parameters (contrast, gamma, etc.) when possible
- New (more logical) key layout

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Maximum respect to François "Axone Man" for his support and the many weeks he spent testing the program.

Many thanks to Jim Hauser, Paul N. Lee, Jonathan Lester, Kerry McClain, Gerd Platl, Michael Rivero, Gerson Sbruzzi, William Stroud and Jeremy White for taking part in the beta testing.

My apologies to all the users who've waited for two very long years to see their suggestions eventually taken into account.

Contact me directly if you have any difficulties downloading or installing the program.

Kind regards,

Nicolas Desprez
