Dear Colleagues and Friends
CECS is now conducting a one week Starter ICDL course for those who have
a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel. With the starter ICDL you get
your ICDL Start certificate after you have passed any four ICDL modules.
PREREQUISITE
This course is aimed at those who have at least a working knowledge of
MS Word and MS Excel at an introductory level. The introductory topics
will not be covered.
MODULES
The ICDL start certificate consists of the following 4 modules:
* Module 2: File Management (MS Windows 2000)
* Module 3: Word-processing (MS Word XP)
* Module 4: Spreadsheet (MS Excel XP)
* Module 7: Information & Communication
The four modules stated above are fixed and no changes can be made.
COURSE DATES
The duration of the course is 4 days, Mon to Thurs from 09:00 to 16:00.
The following are the course dates:
* 27 October 2008
* 03 November 2008
* 10 November 2008
* 17 November 2008
* 24 November 2008
* 01 December 2008
* 08 December 2008
COURSE FEE
The course fee is R500.00 and it covers the following:
* Face-to-face training
* Two mock exams per module
* Use of the CECS computers and access to the Internet on Fridays at no
additional cost
The course fee excludes the ICDL exam fees, manual and skills log book.
