Hello to you Zach.
I too was a beta tester for MCE and I also as a Blind Pilot gave them my views of what was the good points and bad points about their product and how they could make it more blind accessible.
I like Jordan also had the attitude don't call us we'll call you approach.
So, hope this helps as well.

Hi Jordan,

It’s a shame you had such a negative experience. I will definitely keep it in mind. I am surprised in particular that they refused to let you transfer your license, since as far as I’m aware the activation code you get is not hardware-specific. They mention being able to copy it to a new computer in the event of a hard drive reformat or the like.

I will keep everybody posted in terms of dialog with the developers. I’m trying to keep things positive at the moment.
Best,
Zack.

I was on the Beta for a bit for MCE, and I ultimately dropped it for two reasons. The first reason was that even though I gave them my thoughts and let them know it would be a pretty good program if they added the ability for a blind person to land a plane since pretty much everything else can be done, they flat out said no they have no plans to add that feature. The second reason I dropped it was that when I got a new computer, they refused to transfer my license over.

Hi All,

So I’ve been on a regular add-on spree of late, and got my hands on Multicrew Experience yesterday. It isn’t quite ready for general use yet, as their are some rough edges, but I’ve been enjoying it a great deal, once I got used to the vocabulary.
It’s essentially another way to control planes via voice control, and has features for some fairly complex aircraft, including programming the FMC if I’m not mistaken. It also features some basic support for the visually impaired already, and the developers seem open to adding more.

I definitely suggest giving the demo a try. The default user interface isn’t exactly Windows standard, but does work more or less with NVDA. I for one intend to get in touch with the company and give some feedback on how things could improve.
