Regrettaby, what you're referencing is a MAJOR software development
project. I simply do not currently have the time to dedicate to such a
huge undertaking. My life has become far more domesticated since the
passing of my wife after a 40-year marriage. Perhaps when my eldest son
graduates from medical school and can take over caring for my autistic and
physically handicapped youngest son, my two grandchildren, as well as my
95-year old Mother who has late-stage dimentia, I will have more time.
Till then... the IYP programme remains frozen as is... sorry.

What would really be useful here would be a way to construct flight plans
with arbitrary waypoints. THe FSX automatic route generator doesn’t really
work for this, because it doesn’t guarantee that the route I’m given by ATC
will be the one it generates. In this case, the problem was that I was
expected to join the airway mid-stream, which I wasn’t sure how to do.

flying was KSNA V23 MZB KSDM, for those who know how to read ATC route
strips. :)
