Newsletter No: 24 Date: 22nd March 2011 Some sad news to begin with... It gives me great sadness to announce that Kath Wilson has recently died. Kath served as a Governor at Broad Oak Primary School in the past and was an asset to the school's Governing Body during her three year term of office. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those affected by her passing. Praise Assembly Well done to all those who made it to my Praise Assembly bench last Friday!! The Team Point champions for this week were Sycamore. Well done everyone!! Changes to the Start and End of the Day Now we are over half way through the year Mrs Wilson is letting Year 3 be more independent at the end of the school day. She is letting them out on their own to meet parents and carers. Obviously, if it doesn't work we'll go back to plan A, but let's see how they do... The Infant Gate (on the corner by Mrs Yale's classroom) is going to remain locked in the morning until 8.45am, when it will be opened by Mrs Heron, our Site Supervisor. This makes the beginning of the day the same for both Infants and Juniors. School Lunch - Week 1 Beginning 28th March Please ensure that dinner money is paid on Friday if you want dinners next week. Only £9.50 per week, £1.90 a day. Money should be given, via your child, to their teacher in an envelope marked "Dinner Money" with their name, class and amount. Mr. Bromley has been double-booked on the Thursday night and, at the moment, can only see parents / carers on the Wednesday because of football league commitments. If this is not convenient, see Mr Bromley to try and book another night after school.
