Mary and I were at Sugar Hollow park about 4 this afternoon and saw a red-phase screech owl perched on a small tree by the boardwalk where it branches off to the dam. It was about 10 ft. above us and seemed unafraid. I guess this is the usual resident there. It's always nice to see an owl in person. Ruth Clark
