Area Briders: Following Monday's fallout of migrants at Musick's Campground on South Holston Lake, Sullivan Co., TN / VA, the high pressure began to build in behind the cold front and most of the downed species had departed by late in the evening of Tuesday (9/16). Wallace Coffey, Rack Cross and Sam Cross birdered from about 6:30 p.m. until after dark. Osprey 1 Great Blue Heron 2 Common Tern 6 Blue-winged Teal 17 Spotted Sandpiper 3 Belted Kingfisher 1 Common Egret 3 Green Heron 1 Canada Goose 223 Black-crowned Night-Heron 2 We enjoy a concert of howling from Coyotes near Washington Co., VA park about 8:30 p.m. It was really fun. The Coyotes had been heard their earlier this year. Let's go birding....
