Tue 27 JUL 2004 there were 2 Great Egrets at the Walmart Distribution Center
(first pond) in Greene Co..

Wed. 28 JUL 2004 there were 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers and an immature Cooper's
Hawk at Austin Pond between the 4-H Center and Hwy 70. Later that day there
were 8 Red-headed Woodpeckers (including a couple of juveniles) in woods near
Sandbar Rd. on the eastern edge of Greene Co. Also, in western Washington Co.
at the Riverview Nursery sign near the northern end of Keebler Rd. there was
a flock of a few dozen Horned Larks. Then at Taylor Mill Rd. I heard two
Dickcissels, still singing in the usual field.

Thu 29 JUL 2004 on Whirlwind Rd., Greene Co., three Solitary Sandpipers were
at a temporary sinkhole pond; and three Red-headed Woodpeckers were across the
road at a somewhat more permanent pond by some oak woods.
