This evening at 8pm after driving the bus for the Powell Valley High School
academic team I heard a great horned owl go through 2 series of calls near our
rear parking lot. The school is just a few hundred meters from the national
forest and has a 50-75 year old woodlot just 100 meters from school.
The owl had a deep reverbating hoot, can anyone tender a guess as to the gender?
