[Bristol-Birds] Eagles and other raptors Russell County

Roy Knispel of Johnson City, TN came up to Lebanon
today and we birded the Elk Garden, Clifton Farms area
of Russell County. We went looking specifically for
Golden Eagles. We had a very good day.
We saw seven Golden Eagles. We had 5 at the end of
Corn Valley Rd. There were 4 juveniles together and
they appeared to be playing. Later, we saw at least
two more on House and Barn Mountain.
Other raptors:
Red-tailed Hawks - 12
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1
Coopers Hawk - 1
American Kestrel - 3
Other birds:
Loggerhead Shrike - 1
Great Blue Heron - 4
Common Raven - 2
Northern Pintail - 2
Wood Duck - 4
Killdeer -1
