Reminder and Directions for the Herndon Bird Club Banquet:
The Herndon Bird Club Banquet is tomorrow night, Friday, April 1, at Lynch's
Farmhouse Gallery and Gardens, 121 Covered Bridge Lane, Unicoi.
Preregistration is required.
To get to the Gardens, take exit 27 (Hwy 359 North, Okolona Rd) off Interstate
26, go east briefly to the intersection with S. Roan St. Turn right on S. Roan
and go two miles, then turn left into Covered Bridge Lane. (Note, S. Roan St
turns into Unicoi Rd. as you go from Carter County into Unicoi County.) Go
across the covered bridge to the parking lot on the grounds.
Come as early as 6 p.m. to socialize, bird the area, and enjoy the grounds.
The meal will be served about 7 p.m.
Weather predictions are for temperatures of 45 to 50 F during the time of the
banquet, with a 30% probability of showers. There will be a fire in the
fireplace at the hall, but you may want to bring a sweater or jacket for time
you spend on the grounds before the meal.
