While checking to see if yesterday's, 7 APR 2007, Caspian Tern was an early
record for the NOTE area I came across this in the TN Bird archives:

Hello tn-bird list

My name is Rack Cross a birder from Blountville, TN and new Bristol Bird =
Club Member. I recently met some members from this list on the Alabama =
Coastal Birding Trail and was encouraged to subscribe to the list. List =
keeper Wallace Coffey was kind enough to sign me aboard - Thanks =
Wallace!

This evening at Musick's Campground, S. Holston Lake, Sullivan Co., TN =
my family and I saw four Caspian Terns. This is on the early side for =
these birds in E. TN according to Rick Knight's book "The Birds of =
Northeast Tennessee." The record early date per Mr. Knight is April 13.
