Wallace et al., The number of Palm Warblers on the Bristol CBC was actually a remarkable 17 (not 7), with three parties reporting them (9+7+1). They were also found on the CBCs at Elizabethton & Greeneville. This species has greatly increased in recent years as an early winter visitor in east Tennessee, sometimes lingering thru the whole season. ################### Rick Knight Johnson City, TN rknight@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: Wallace Coffey <jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx> To: Bristol-birds <bristol-birds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thursday, January 08, 2004 8:02 PM Subject: [Bristol-Birds] Bristol Christmas Bird Count Results >The Bristol Christmas Bird Count held Sunday, Dec. 28, totaled 82 species -- 7 short of >the region's record high count at Bristol in 1998. >This is Northeast Tennessee's and Southwest Virginia's oldest count, first held Dec. 1931. > >The total is 2 species below our previous five year average.
