Not too much to report.
Wednesday: 6:55am -- 40+ chimney swifts at the chimney of Powell Valley High
School.
11:25am -- 1 Kestrel chasing chimney swifts around said
chimney
11:34am -- 40+ chimney swifts mobbing said kestrel
Thursday: 2 Indigo buntings, 20+ cedar waxwings, 5 turkey vultures, pileated
woodpecker, flicker
Friday: Flight of ducks passing in front of bus windsield at about 50
feet.
1 red shoulder hawk passing in front of the bus windshield
at less than 1 foot, it literally had to lift its right
wing to avoid hitting the bus.
Saturday: NTSP; Red bellied, hairy, downy & pileated woodpecker. Kingfisher,
GBH on Stock Creek near the interpreter's office,
turkey vulture,
BSG; large group of cedar waxwings feeding in a holly tree,
great horned owl at 8pm
Sunday: Powell Valley; GBH, 2 male & 3-5 female bluebirds , 100+ crows, 100+
starlings, large flock of what appeared to be cedar waxwings, 3
bluejays in the white oak over my carport taking acorns
