The Bristol Bird Club has a field trip planned to Clinch Mountain and the vicinity of Laurel Bed Lake in SW Virginia on Saturday, May 3. Last year at this time the following birds (among others) were recorded at Clinch Mountain: Broad-winged Hawk, Merlin, Least Flycatcher, Gray Catbird, Veery, American Redstart, Yellow-breasted Chat, Common Yellowthroat, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Golden-winged Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-throated Green warbler, Canada Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Hooded warbler, Ovenbird, Indigo Bunting, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Scarlet Tanager and Baltimore Oriole.
