[Bristol-Birds] April 26 Field Trip Birds

On a beautiful day, the Beginners' Field Trip posted a list of 38 species.  
Bill Grigsby helped the five participants maximize their viewing and learning 
experience over the 2.5 hour walk.  The following species were seen:  Canada 
Goose, Mallard, Great Blue Heron (6), Green Heron, Cooper's Hawk, Killdeer, 
Solitary Sandpiper (2), Spotted Sandpiper (6), Wilson's Snipe, Mourning Dove, 
Belted Kingfisher, Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker (Heard), Eastern 
Phoebe, 
Red-eyed Vireo, Blue Jay, Tree Swallow, Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, 
Carolina Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Eastern Bluebird, 
American Robin, Northern Mockingbird, Brown Thrasher, European Starling, 
Yellow-rumped Warbler (several), Louisiana Waterthrush, Song Sparrow, Northern 
Cardinal, Indigo Bunting (6+), Red-winged Blackbird (many), Common Grackle, 
Brown-headed Cowbird, Orchard Oriole, American Goldfinch.   John Moyle
