Looking foward to this weekend and the weather looks beautiful!
Please see earlier email as far as being timely for trailering and lessons.
Please remember to pack Friday PM dinner and Sat. AM breakfast in paper lunch
bags. If you horse needs bute etc. please add this and double check with me.
Hay is running low so we are not taking any extra because in all honestly a
lot of it gets left each year. I already have a fair amount of hay left in
the truck from Kentucky and it should be enough. Lili and Gunner please
remember a bale and why doesn't the three horse bring one please and then we
should be pretty good. Please remember to get it out of the trailer when we
arrive. You can have a hay bag with one flake in it ready to trailer with
you. Please remember to grab these out of the trailer.
Very Important!! = Please do not leave the barn a mess after you. Please
allow yourself time to sweep etc. so that you can leave it cleaner than you
found it:) when using the wash rack DO NOT LEAVE YOUR POOP THERE. This goes
for all times. It is rude and uncleanly for others. Also while we are on it,
if your horse poops in the yard or outside of their gate, please go back and
scoop it up for the same reasons listed above.
Please purchase and bring at least one bag of shavings. We also need to plan
to strip our stalls at the end so please be sure to be cleaning your stall
very regularly so this is easier. Please try to do this throughout the day
Sat. so that not everyone needs muck buckets at the same time:)
It DOES sound like we can use our figure 8s and elevators so we should be all
set there.
Please let me know if any horse appears to need tack that is shared with
another horse? Ellie ask me about a saddle in the basement please. Does
anyone have an extra girth extender? Ares I may have you contact Ella for
some of hers:)
If you have a cooler and sheet for your horse, please bring these.
I do not know about trailer rides home yet sorry:) It depends on which horses
finish the earliest and you may need to be ready to put your horse straight
on the trailer lickity split:) Lili will go home in the last load.
All horses need 4 boots for jumping please and be checking about boots for
the flat classes pls. All horses need a vetrolin bath if it is warm enough
and to be linaminted and then wrapped over night.
If you think your horse needs to be lunged, please do so before your lesson
time. Also hand grazing your horse down by the jumping field is a great way
to help them feel comfortable:) Please be aware about the hounds in the am
(ask myself or someone that has shown here before:)) and the fact that the
judge's truck will not be in the field while we are schooling but will be
there Sat. AM. I am not sure the timing of this but if it works out you
should let your horse check out this truck.
Suzanne, I absolutely love that you are throwing a leg on each side and are
getting ready for the dream team but I sadly cannot figure out a way for you
to school here at Waterloo timing wise:) And yes Chrissy to the Calm and Cool
pls:)
The show starts at 9:30 on Sat. Let's be at the barn at 8:00 for feeding,
stall cleaning, getting ready etc. We will feed all horses together on
Friday evening so please stick around until the appropriate time. You can do
it together between 5:00 and 6:30. Someone please check in with me as to the
timing of this?
Please put on a for public wear halter:) All horses need to be gussied up a
bit. Please trim manes and brush out tails. We might have to do some spot
baths on the supposed to be whiter horses and all white socks:) We can also
trim whiskers and fetlocks pls:) If you have time to braid for Sat=Let's do
it!!:)
Please make sure you return all items you take with you or borrow:) Please
let me know if any bridle needs different reins:) And let me know which
saddle has the unmatching leathers so I can hopefully swap those out:)
Trailering for Waterloo is $50.00. If you are sharing a horse then you split
the trailering:) It is $35.00 to me for the lesson on Friday and $25.00
training fee for Sat. if you are showing:) If you can please note these on
your check that is super helpful to me thanks so much:)
