Subject: Important horse show information
Hello everybody :-) we are so excited for the show tomorrow! :-) here are
some things that will help the day go more smoothly for everybody (and most
are generally good practices for any Horse Show):-) Tomorrow there are going
to be a lot of horses that need to be tacked up. All of the horses will
already be fed so most of the 10 stalls will be empty. Please be putting
horses in stalls to tack up so there's enough room for everybody:)
As you are tacking throughout the day and at the end of the day please make
sure you sweep and please make sure you rake up all extra hair. The barn
should look cleaner when you leave it than when you arrived:)
At all times when you use The Wash Rack please make sure to clean up the area
when you are done. This includes keeping your poop. Please do not leave it
there for somebody else to scoop thank you :-)tomorrow it will be too cold to
wash anything other than their legs.
Please check in with Kelsey as far as what time you should be tacking up and
then what time should you get on before dressage. For novice and beginner
novice horses you may warm up in the arena outside of the smaller dressage
arena during other people's rides so you should plan to be on one half hour
before your ride time. For starter and green bean we are using the entire
arena for dressage tests. This means you can be warmed up at the walk and
then we've scheduled an extra two minutes between each dressage test where
you can trot two laps and Canter each direction as warm up :-) we can discuss
times to be on before show jumping tomorrow :-) please make sure you are
using the time in the morning to get your show jumping course memorized. It
will be posted at the edge of the Arena. Please also pay attention to the
time frame and everybody will need to be available for the course walk please
before show jumping begins :)
Please park conscientiously and try not to leave extra room between Vehicles
:-) you may Park along the driveway on the west side of our driveway. Please
do not drive in or park in our neighbor Heather's yard in front of us thank
you. You may also Park along the road if we get to that point thank you. if
two cars are approaching each other in the driveway so sorry but one car
might need to backup versus driving on the grass thank you so much.
Please help all Riders remember that the grass is very soft right now. Please
try to have them walk on the driveway and gravel areas vs. on the grass as
much as possible. The outdoor arena is probably ok to be walked in in the
high areas where it is drier. It is not dry enough yet to trot and Canter on.
Wolf's Way is dry if some people were wanting to do some warming up over
there. Please have all Riders remember that there will be a lot of energy in
the atmosphere tomorrow and it might make some of the horses have more spunk
than usual. So let's all work together to help with this as much as possible
thank you.
Please let me know if anybody has any other questions as these are all of the
reminders for now :-) we are planning to have a couple of additional fun
prizes tomorrow and lunch by the fire :-) see you tomorrow! :-)
